If English language proof is required, check the university admissions page as well as the scholarship page. Some universities accept a Medium of Instruction letter from your school if your degree was taught in English, and the scholarship page often does not say so.

Ask your registrar for documents early. Official letters and transcripts can take weeks, and a missing piece of paper is an easy way to miss a deadline.

Give your referees the deadline and a short note on what you are applying for. A referee writing blind produces a generic letter, and a generic letter is close to no letter.
