Question

Where do reading clubs find books at the right level?

mercy_nabwireContributor··1 view
A weekend reading club for children who are behind in reading needs books at their level. Donated books are often too hard, and a book that is too hard makes a child feel worse, not better. Where do small clubs find levelled readers without paying to ship them across the world?

Look for publishers and booksellers in your own region before anything shipped from abroad. Shipping can cost more than the books and take months, and a local publisher is more likely to have books in the languages the children speak.

Small community grants are worth a look for a book budget. Read who the funder says it funds before anything else: some only fund registered organisations.
