Start the documents before the essay. References, transcripts and proof of status are the things that take weeks and are outside your control. The writing is the part you can do in a hurry; the paperwork is not.

Ask past participants how many hours a week it really took. It can be more than the page says.

Find out what they take. Equity, a fee, a revenue share or nothing at all, and on what terms. A programme that will not say plainly is telling you something.
