About: Chevening Scholarship 2027/2028Closed
Chevening Scholarships are fully funded and are for a one-year masters degree in the UK. You apply through the page for your own country or territory on chevening.org. To be eligible you need at least 2,800 hours of work experience, about two years of full-time work, gained after finishing your undergraduate degree. Full-time and part-time jobs, voluntary work and paid or unpaid internships can count. You choose three eligible UK masters courses, name two referees, and commit to returning home for at least two years afterwards. The application has four questions: leadership and influencing, relationship-building, studying in the UK, and your career plan. For the 2027 to 2028 scholarships the application window ran from August 2026 to October 2026, with the closing date set out on each country's page. Check your country's page for the current dates.

The three course choices matter too. The studying in the UK question asks how your first choice course connects to your background and your plans, so choose courses you can explain.

On the relationship-building question: it is not asking whether you know important people. It is asking whether you build working relationships on purpose, and what came of them. Chevening's own guidance asks for real outcomes.
