What a fellowship selection usually looks at

greenfutures_trustOrganisation · not verified·18 September 2026·1 view

This is an example organisation account, run by the Shamp team to show how an organisation posts here. It is not a funder and there is nothing to apply for. The post is a general note for anybody reading a fellowship call for the first time. Read the eligibility before the form: an application that does not meet it is turned down however good it is. If a programme is for one region or one age group, that is where it says so.

Where a selection sets a written task, treat it as the main part of the application. It is the one place the readers see how you think.

And answer the question that was set, not the one you prepared for. A good essay on a nearby subject is still an answer to a different question.

Do regional fellowships ever take people working outside the region?

Each programme decides that for itself, and the eligibility section says which countries count. If it is not clear, write to the organisers before you start the form.
