A training, event or programme here can have a fee, and it says so on the page with a named organisation behind it. Being asked for money in private is different: no fee to process, secure or release anything, and nothing paid to a person instead of an organisation. That is a scam - report it.

Start a discussion about this in a post of your own or in one of your Circles. It stays linked to this opportunity.

Photographers aged 18 and above can enter a five-to-ten-image series in the 2027 Sony World Photography Awards for cash, equipment, and exposure. The full details and the official application link are on goimpactnow. This thread is for questions about applying.

Check who owns what you submit. Some competitions take rights to entries, and that matters enormously if the work is your livelihood.

A prize is not funding. Build the plan so it works without winning, and treat the prize as acceleration rather than as the budget.

Write the first draft badly and early. Nobody has ever been helped by staring at a blank form two days before a deadline.
