Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program: you apply through a partner university

The Scholars Program is run through partner universities and organisations. You apply to a partner, not to the Foundation, and the partner makes the decision. The Foundation says the support includes tuition fees, accommodation, books and other academic materials, mentoring, counselling, leadership development and, if needed, a return air ticket home. Each partner sets its own closing date and its own application steps, so there is no single date for the whole programme. Where a partner charges an application fee for admission, the Foundation says it is repaid to candidates who are selected. Start from the official page below, choose the partner, and read that partner's own page for its dates and requirements.

A point about essays on community work, for this or any scholarship that asks: say what changed because of what you did, not only what you did. Small numbers are fine if they are real.

Eleven students you can describe is better than five hundred you cannot. Say what changed for them and what carried on afterwards. Check the partner's own guidance for what it asks, since each one words its questions differently.

Thank you for explaining that you apply to the university. I thought you applied to the Foundation directly.
