Question

How do you find a co-author with the skills your paper lacks?

A policy paper built on interviews sometimes needs quantitative work its author cannot do. How do researchers find a co-author for that part, and how should the order of authors be agreed?

Anyone can read Shamp. To reply you need an account, so the person you help can find you again.

Say what the authorship will be at the start, including who is first author if the modelling is the larger share. A request that leaves that until the end is harder to say yes to.

Methods groups and research networks in your field are a good place to ask. State the data you have and the method you need, so the right person can recognise themselves.
